The people that were involve in the challenger explotion were the seven crew members. their names were micheal j smith, dick scobee, ronald mcnair, elison orizuka. christa mcaliffe, gregory jarvis and judith resnik. this were the crew of seven that were in the space shuttle when it exploded. they passed away the day of january 28 1986. in florida they named 7 middle schools in named of each of the austronuts for the lost and memory of them. their remains were buried in the memorial in arlington national cemetery.

the event of the cjallenger explotion happened in 1986 january 28 at 11:39 am in florida. the the space shutter broke apart 73 seconds into space leading to thedeaths of the seven crew mwmbers. the day that they were suppose to launch was the day of january 22 at 2:42 pm but delays suffered by previous missin caused the launch date to be pushed back and they pushed it back to the day of january 28 because of bad weather.

That morning of the day that they launch the morning was cold it was about 31f the minimum temperature permitted for launch.
they launched into space and unfortunately while extrusion was taking place hot gasses would leak past a blo-by damaging the o-rings until a seal was made. they investigated they determend that the o-rings was directly related to the time it took for extrution to occur and that cold weather by causing the o-rings to harden. that day of the launch because that morning it was so cold it made the o-ring to not seal on time. the secong o-ring was not on right neither because the position caused the metal to bend. so the flame rushed into the joint.
