Television in the 80's

How would people entertain themselves in the 80's? Some would go outside and play. Some would play with there Rubik's cube. But many chose to watch TV. A lot included funny sitcoms, movies of all types, dramatic soap operas and cartoons. I think many thank who ever invented this device.

Popular shows were "The Cosby Show", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", "Married...With Children", "Rescue 911", "Roseanne", and "Different Stokes". There also was News shows that would let you know whats going on in the world. Other examples of the shows were "G.I. Joe", "M.A.S.H", "227", "The Jetsons", "The Golden Girls", "Seinfield", "Happy Days", "Growing Pains", "Baywatch", "Cheers", "Silver Spoons", "Murder She Wrote", and " The Twilight Zone".
TV was important because it would entertain many audiences. It would help you know when disasters would happen and helped you not be bored on rainy days. Some say some shows were educational and keep you up with the latest trends and music.
